Well, I did it. I finished the first block for the Postage Stamp Quiltalong. After sewing the first few strips together I thought, this is going to be a slow process because of all those seams that need to be matched up. Then I got in the groove and all the seams matched up pretty well so it wasn't as bad as I thought.
Since making this first block, I have completed 2 more. These ones came together a little more quickly than the first. Here is a little closer look.

oooug - those are looking fantastic! I know who's been busy. What a great little quilt you will have in the end.
Can you only imagine the labor of love that went into those Postage Stamps made years and years ago... only using cardboard templates and not having the strip method! Eek!
Are you sure you don't want to make this bed sized???? ;)
Love from Texas! ~bonnie
I'm beginning on the "journey" also and am sewing and slicing. I love your color selection of blues, purples, etc. Mine is totally scrappy. I don't have a unit put together yet but maybe soon! I like the idea that it is rather "mindless" and something I can work on without a lot of thinking. See you at COF. Chanlady
Thanks Lois, it is coming along. I now have 6 blocks put together and trying to decide if I want to do more or switch colors and do a round of a second color. I'm not making it for any certain person or time frame right now, so I guess we'll just see where it goes.
See you in a few months!
